Judicial Assignments, Scheduling, & Standing Orders

Information about current judicial assignments and case scheduling is below.  All cases must be scheduled consistent with local procedural rules.  More information can be found in the each courtroom’s standing order, also found below.  Specific information about the kinds of cases assigned to each call can be found in the administrative orders.

Criminal Felony I Call – Courtroom 304 Judge Tiffany E. Davis

Criminal Misdemeanor Jury Call – Courtroom 301 Judge Mary H. Nader

Initial return date on Criminal Misdemeanors (DT, MT, TR, CV, OV and QC)  initiated by certain local law enforcement agencies.  Matters to be heard in Courtroom 301 include all jury and bench trials, petitions to revoke hearings, pretrial release hearings, summary suspension hearings, and forfeitures arising out of DT and MT cases.  Cases initiated by the following arresting agencies shall be returnable to Courtroom 301 on the day of the week specified below at 9:00 am:
  • Monday 9:00 a.m. – Reserved for jury trials and matters set by the Court.
  • Tuesday 9:00 a.m. – Algonquin, Harvard
  • Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – McHenry, Richmond, Spring Grove
  • Thursday 9:00 a.m. – Holiday Hills, Island Lake, Johnsburg, Woodstock
  • Friday 9:00 a.m. – Barrington Hills, Crystal Lake Park Dist., Lake in the Hills, Marengo, Prairie Grove, Union
  • Monday-Friday 1:30 p.m. – As set by the Court
  • Note: If a local charge, negotiated pleas must be scheduled on the proper day of the week for that municipality’s prosecutor. State’s Attorney cases can be scheduled Tuesday – Friday.

Initial return date on Criminal Misdemeanors (DT, MT, TR, CV, OV and QC)  initiated by certain local law enforcement agencies.  Matters to be heard in Courtroom 303 include all jury and bench trials, petitions to revoke hearings, pretrial release hearings, summary suspension hearings, and forfeitures arising out of DT and MT cases.  Cases initiated by the following arresting agencies shall be returnable to Courtroom 303 on the day of the week specified below at 9:00 am:

  • Friday 9:00 a.m. – Crystal Lake, Fox Lake
  • Monday-Friday 1:30 p.m. – As set by the Court

Domestic Violence Cases and Non-Traffic Misdemeanors – Courtroom 203 Judge Justin M. Hansen

Initial return date, jury and bench trials, petitions to revoke hearings, and pretrial release hearings for all Domestic Violence matters (DV)(Domestic Battery, Violations of Orders of Protection, Interference with Reporting Domestic Violence, and related misdemeanors) and Non-Traffic Criminal Misdemeanors (CM) prosecuted by the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Traffic Call – Courtroom 102 Judge Jeffrey L. Hirsch

Traffic Violation (TR); Conservation Violation (CV); Ordinance Violation (OV); Civil Law Violation (CL); Quasi-Criminal (QC) Cases must be scheduled for the proper day and time that the local prosecutor is scheduled for Traffic Court. Traffic Court begins at 8:30am or 1:30pm. Refer to the monthly schedules:
