The McHenry County Circuit Clerk’s office now offers a free online portal for parties acting as their own attorney. Self-represented litigants can view their case files online – anytime, anywhere.
The Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Portal allows access to cases where the person requesting access is a party to the case and the case is still open. 30 days following the last court date, online access automatically terminates.
Application can be made for remote online access to pending case file(s) either online or at the Circuit Clerk’s customer service counters in either Room 136 or Room 353. Parties will be required to provide government issued identification before online access will be granted to their case file(s).
