Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Online Portal
The McHenry County Circuit Clerk’s office offers a free online portal for parties acting as their own attorneys to view their case files online.
The Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Portal only allows access to cases where the person requesting access is a party to the case, the case must still be open (having pending court dates), and it only includes public data and documents, at this time there is no access to impounded information. 30 days following the last court date, online access will automatically terminate. If the case would later re-open for post disposition actions, parties must re-apply for access.
Application can be made for remote online access to your pending case file(s) either online or at the Circuit Clerk’s customer service counters in either Room 136 or Room 353. Parties will be required to provide government issued identification before online access will be granted to their case file(s).
